hey, i was bored, so i made a new ucf browser, it ius the same as crimson's one, but without the panel on the right. its main advanteage is the status bar, which has a progress bar in it :D (i only made this browser to add the progress bar, as i like to know how long i have left for it to finish loading)

here is a link to it
UCF Browser 3

any comments, rantings, are apreceated

you forgot, mine can translate B)

can you skin the forum like I was doing? all I ever managed to change was the background color but if you could do more that would be great.

btw: are you using .NET?
btw2: it could use an address bar.

BTW1: I do have .NET, but im not using it for this prog.
BTW2: I did give it an adress bar, but i took it out cos it would be another browser then, not just a UCF one. i could just make it a locked address bar, so it would display the current URL, but users cant navagate with it.

oh and i will look into skinning the forum, but im not sure how to set about it.

thanks crimson, i did think of a way to do it, but it involved reading the style sheet from the UCF host and the redirecting the style sheet link to a personalised one. this seems to me likea very complicated method to do it tho...

andy, any news? looked at my code yet? you should be able to pull the translation code from it with no problem but i cant remember if the version I gave you has the background color switcher.

i am about to upload the new usf browser, it has language translation (6 languages) a menu (show/hide) on the left, and a small help file. the left menu has lots of links to commonly used pages; search home, main forum, classpad forum, free discussion, bugs & suggestions, to name a few.

and the version of yout UCF browser didnt have the bgcolour changer in it. :(

here is the link to the new browser
