Hey! I have almost completed the server switchover. This new server has plenty of goodies, some for regular users, but the majority for admin's. Pretty soon , after my semester exams are over, I will upload the new UCN website. It will first be released to the testing team - most likely... I haven't decided how to open it yet.

There are a few things to be completed on it:
- filesharing bugs
- article system
- finishing touches on the FAQ system.

Everything else seems to be working just fine.

ANYWAY!.. so .. how is this server for everyone? Just as fast? SLower? Have you heard of any cases of people that can't access it lately??

Sorry for not warning you guys ahead of time, the admins weren't warned either... I sorta had a "sudden urge" to do it right then! LOL.... Sorry for the downtime also (3 - 4 days , depends what country you were in :))

Thank,
Simon Dobretsov

Think the speed is about the same.

Lookong forward to seeing the new UCN :)

Will you take the forum down while updating, in which case; what is your expected downtime?

hey all... i was away all the time cause i changed my cpu and mainboard, so i had to install windows again... but the mainboard was kinda shit, so i had to send cpu and mainboard back to the store where i bought it.
Thanks for the tip with winnercomputer rstweb... this company is reaaaaal shit... now i know why they can sell things so cheap, cause everything is used or somewhat.

Now, sorry... back to the topic. Cool a new server, bad it's not virtualavenue. :(
But you still have your old virtualave account right? :)
i cant tell you about the speed, my brother is downloading atm and takes 95% of the speed.
Take care guys... i'll be back some days again when a new mainboard comes to me... ^^ :D

Never noticed any real slow downs in the server (now windows xp at my home, that is another story :D )

The error message I got said something about the server being down and that only admin's could log in. Figured (and hoped!) it would be back up in a few days.

No difference for me... I couldn't log in anyway because I'm on holiday in Europe and this is the first Internet pub I've been to.

So... how is everything on CFX going... sorry, sorry, sorry...
