Hi everyone,

Would really appreciate some help on this one. Just bought casio class Pad 330 and when I try to do symbolic calculations with x I get

numeric values. 3x + 3x i get {6,12,18,24,30} and when I put (x+1)^2 and tell it to expand I get {4,9,16,25,36} I know its putting x equals 1, 2 ,3 ,4, 5 to

get these values but i want it to give me x^2 + 2x + 1 if i use y instead of x i do get this, but what have i done to get the calculator to calcuate with X and how can

I turn it off.

Thanks in advance

You should clear all variables (menu edit - clear all variables) before making symbolic calculations. I tried your examples and got the symbolic results
