Hi I'm new to the forum. I've used Texas Insturments calculators all my life but the new ones seem kinda cheap and aren't made in Europe or USA like my older ones. Anyways I've noticed quite a few Casio calculators for sale in Walmart and various pharmacys in town and it got me wondering about them. Are any of the new ones made in Japan(price no option so long as it will last me a long time... :D )?

Yes, they're mostly made in those two countries, just like TI's new calculators. Of course, the quality of the calculator is what matters, not where it was manufactured ;)

Well does anyone know of other brands that are made in Japan or somewhere other than China? Also what models are made in Taiwan(I seem to remember the TI 83 I used to have when I was in school was made there)? If I can't find anything better thats what I'll go with.

It's possible that the manufacturing of a model changed location at some point of time.

Last model I know for sure made in Japan (at least mine) is CFX 9970G, after that I can find only Casio fx made in China; don't know for sure the Casio's factory lines in Japan has been stopped or the export.
