Hi...

I have my ClassPad 400 and i can't figure out why can't I solve the following system of equations.

It seems the problem is with the polar form. I created a function called cc and simply converted it to rectangular form using compToRect (compToTrig also worked but yielded uglier results in Standard mode).

Then I calculated the equation system and converted one of the results to polar mode for example (tested in CP Manager 3.06; writing those I's with subscripts wasn't easy :greengrin: ). Verify if the result is correct or not.

Hi... I really appreciate your effort...

Actually, using the comptoRec built-in function, the results came out correctly... But I have already made some other calculations mixing complex numbers in both formats, rectangualr and polar and the results always came out correct.

And I also found out that the subscript numbers next to I are not very friendly in this situation. Actually even if I used the built-in function comtoRect and used the I index 1, 2 or whatever index i used, the results are not correct.

I ended up using regular variable letters like x, y, z and t!

The results for I1, I2, I3 and In are approximately:
I1=12.52|50.64
I2=14.36|-136.4
I3=7.03|113.8
In=8.16|130.54

What I have done was the following:
