I have tested fx-991EX diagnostic mode and created video.

I didn't know about that special key menu when pressing {8}.

Btw, when you put your finger on the solar panel, you will see the message "Battery MODEL OK!" after pressing all the listed keys. And when removing your finger from the panel, the message "Solar MODEL OK!" will appear.

Also note that you have to press the {x} key (above {ln}) on an fx-991EX or fx-570EX when it asks for the {logab} key. This is because other models have two dedicated log keys.

991ex seems to be upgraded from the ES Plus models firmware. Can you see if the exploit here: http://community.cas...ing/#entry59786will work?

Does not completely rule out that they have based it's firmware on the code of older ones which is why the exploit may still exist. Thats like me making a phone with a bigger screen but using a operating system one version higher :P
