I am an owner of the calculator fx-9860GII and recently, something happened to my calculator. Everytime I want to graph something (be it a simple linear graph or a quadratic graph), the graphing utility won't work and it'll display "Argument Error" as the message. I consulted some of my friends, and they told me that there's probably something wrong with the zoom function. I do remember that before this happened, whenever I tried graphing, my graph wouldn't show even when I zoomed out.

Now I can't even go to the zoom option because when I press draw, all it would show me is the message of "Argument Error" and I would have to exit. I've tried resetting the system and even deleting memories and other things, but this is still going on. Can someone help me?

That happen to me before. I think I did the reset option: Initialize ALL. I know you said you reset the device but maybe try the option?

I tried doing that but it didn't change anything... Should I just get a new calculator?

Did you try taking out ALL of the batteries? Including the watch battery?
