Hi everyone.

I want to buy a calculator and I have done some reaserch.

on the one hand I was told that the 115ES/991ES are basicly the same calculator with a different name for different areas in the world.

however - in the casio USA site it says that the 115ES has 279 functions, and in the casio EUROPE site it says that the 991ES+ has 417 functions (same as the 570ES).

Hence, my question is: Are 115ES/991ES the same calculator or not?

whats the 140 or so function difference between the two?

Thanks.

Pay attention to the "plus", so fx-991ES PLUS is different then fx-115ES/991ES
fx-991ES PLUS has 417 functions
fx-115ES/991ES has 403 functions

The comparison can be downloaded here, unfortunately in czech only

Thank you so much for your replies, although my main question still stands.

The comparison table you gave is great, too bad its not in English though.
According to this table the main difference between the 991ES/991ES PLUS is that there are 20 more pairs of metric conversions.

However, that table does not include the 115ES.

in the casio USA site it says the 115ES has "only" 279 functions:
http://www.casio.com...echnical_Specs/

and in the casio Europe site it says the 991ES has 403 functions:
http://www.casio-eur...hnical/fx991es/

Both calculators seem to have the exact same buttons, moreover it appears they have the same manual!!

so the only logic conclusion is that Casio made a mistake in their USA site in the specification of the 115ES, is it so?
