Hey All!

I heard about the possibility of programs that cannot be deleted when the CFX 9850G Plus is reset.

This would be a valuable asset but i don't know how it is accomplished-
any help would be great.

Thanx in Advance.

:)

Hmm... Sounds wierd.

When the calculator is reset, the user part of RAM is cleared, so I don't know how one can acheiv that.

Maybe you are confusing it with the Flash Add-ins of the AFX models?

hm, the cfx-9850G has a program-database. in this database are some little helpfull programs from casio. do you mean these programs? they aren't removed if you reset the calc.

Hi,

just the CFX 9850G "PLUS" has that extra program database. It isn't deleted when the calc is reset however there is no known way so far (except replacing rom etc.) to store data there.
I guess there is no way right now to make progs undeletable.

I certainly havn't seen anything like that. (I seem to recall that) It is possible to transfer a compiled program (in ASM) to your calc (CFX-9850G+)which can't be deleted but ONLY if you are willing to lose all programs on the calculator and edit the ROM file and send it down as a new backup of the calc.

I don't know if this is what you've read about.
 B)

hm. didn't you have to modifiy the ROM first before uploading compiled programs?
in principle there's no chance to create undeletable programs in the normal program memory. (or am i wrong, martin?)

It looks good. Now the old ROM is in a EPROM-Holder. But i have still the problem that I don't know where I could burn an EEPROM and I didn't find any connection diagram of a burner and don't want to buy one because they are very expensive here in germany!
i have to repair the display, too. but this won't be such a big problem. i have a new display (it is an other but it seem to work with the casio) and i have to change it the next time.
