This sounds interesting. I know 8086 ASM (i think that maybe we will make ASM programs for the classpad). Also there are very good programmers here, hope we can do something cool.

Why the F**K you would want to develop a new operating system....

That's for tards and wannabees

Make apps, games, and usefull stuff

I might smack together a few apps when the sdk is released.. for now, I won't stress it (plenty enough on my hands as it is .. programming the PS2 in uni right now as I write this :P)

As a programmer I have to customize my machine with my features.
Do you have any problem?

You should first learn to use Casio's OS before deciding it's worthless... To make an OS is not that simple.

I can understand you might like the challange, but it seems kind of useless..

With ever calculator someone just have to make a new OS.. it usually doesn't come out any better than the one that's already there...

If you are a shitty programmer, you won't be able to develope a good OS
If you are a good programmer, you can probably contribute more by developing real applications with some purpose
(I can understand you might want to add features such as multithreading or similar, which wouldn't be too bad an idea... problem is, most ppl out there wouldn't bother/know how to take advantage of it)

And, no, I don't have a problem with it.. it's your own time you consume :)

but i think its possible to give more function to the os if casio give us the src, like the basic library but directly in the os (faster).

I'm agree with XF007.
So I mean NEW OS :-> Better OS :-> Developed OS :-> FASTER OS

i think he means that he wants to be able to expand the basic language. from what i understand we should be able to do that.

Aright...
That's _very_ different from creating a new OS from scratch
