Hi guys, I'm quite new here. Can anyone give me some tips on writting a program to project a "Reset! Initialize all" screen. Instead of clearing the main memory, I want to just project the image. Or does such a program exist already? I couldn't find it with the search.

Just to add on. I don't intend to display things in character format. I would like to output on the screen pixels and spaces. If possible, please teach me how to do that on Casio's BASIC.

Welcome to the UCF,

Would you like to actually initialize the calculator (clear the mems) or would you just like to make a program to tell the user to do so (which is unnecessary and absolutely insane).

mintsmike.

Erm...I would like to write a program, either using the GC's BASIC, or SDK (I still haven't really figured out that one yet, even though I've done quite a lot of C++), that displays, in pixels, any image I want. Something like the bitmap editor. Simply put, I want to be able to display the screen, with the prompt that comes up when you Initialise All, anytime at will.

This is what I want to display, just by running a program.

I am 99% sure that this is not possible. You are asking to portray a pop-up window, which you cannot do in standard program mode. You would need to use the SDK to do this (of which i am not familiar), but that would require the use of a addin, which is not technically a program like you showed.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Aren't there already methods and ways to print out pixels? Or something similar to the bitmap image edittor but on a larger scale. Alternatively, is there any way to prevent g1a files from being removed after initializing?

Yes, I am sure that you can find several programs to protect your addins on the File Sharing section of the UCF! :) .

Try kucalc. He should know where you can find one. I think that program is named something like 'Hal'.

You can use "Hull Data Protection Utility" . It simulates the complete reset-menu, but doesn't delete anything. You can exit Hull with an key-combo (you can configure it on the first start. If you want to change it, you must delete the file "HULLl.SKS") or by rebooting the calc (press the reset-button or replace a battery).

Sorry, the file name is "HULL.SKS", not "HULLI.SKS".

KuriKuri,

After searching the UCN file sharing pages, I finally found what you are looking for. The previous guest post didnt really hold that much information so here you go:

Find it here: http://www.casiocalc...0G.casm#totitle

The program is named HULL 1.0. Put it on your calculator and all should become clear.

Sorry about the delay in finding the answer to your problem,

Regards,
{mintsmike}
