OK then, first of all, you cannot theoretically view any bmps or jpegs that are in colour as the calculator is obviusly only in black and white. SpriteStudio is not really the answer as it can only convert real graphics into C addin format. I would not use that unless you were prepared to create a whole addin (G1A) for every graphic you wanted to view.

As I said, there is no graphic format to the calculators. You must learn C and how to program Casio addins, then use spritestudio to convert to a C array, then compile the addin, transfer it to the calc, and run it.

As I said before, an awful lot of hassle

mintsmike is right, you need to know a bit of C and know how to display an array (G1A addin) :) Ask if you have any problems with that, its a bit simpler than it sounds ;)

There are some converters available to convert 128x64 (and that size only) black and white (monochrome) bmp files to G1M that can be opened on the calculator by calling them from the graph menu

I was actually working on a new image system for the fx-9860G, but I stopped, unfortunately. So far you can't open .bmp files directly, but that doesn't mean some day one might be able to. What we need is someone to work on it, of course. :/

Also, RCLPict is used to show a picture that was previously saved using StoPict. They are saved in Primary Memory, therefore its space is quite limited.

I've decided to resume my work on the image system. You may expect a topic with the explanation soon.

Edit: Go check it out. :P

I have to link to another site because the author of the program hasn't uploaded this program to UCF.
You can download a fileconverter here

Convert an image to monochrome bitmap. The file should be 128*64.
Select the BMP to G1M configuration in the program. Press GO and find the converted file.
Save the G1M file as PICT1 ~ PICT20.
You can put it on your calculator with the fa-124 and view it by entering the GRAPH menu and pressing
<span class=OPTN' />, <span class=F1' /> PICT, <span class=F2' /> RCL, and enter the desired number.

I could also write you a program to show plain (monochrome) BMPs on your calculator, but it would be a bit unhandy for you, since you'll need 2 add-ins for that.

Hello, I think you need to download the Visual Studio Redistributables (2005 and 2008): http://www.microsoft...;displaylang=en

Junior, Im not the best person to answer your question, though may I suggest that you check the following?

. Image file is 128x64 OR 128x128
. Image file is a monochrome (black and white) bitmap
. Selected "G1M(FX-9860G-Picture) <--> BMP(128x64/128x128;b/w); mode in the "pfx9860g" program

Here is a test 128x128 monochrome bitmap that works: Posted Image
EDIT: Interesting.. It looks like the program automatically made my 128x64 bitmap into a 128x128 image. Thats the reason for that white space at the bottom ;)

Hope that helps. Post if you have any more issues. Alias

Junior, now that I've come into possession of some new information, it appears that the fx-9860G handles Picture and Capture files differently:

.Picture files always contain two 128x64 bitmaps, which get overlayed when displayed.
.Capture files contain one 128x64 bitmap only.

Therefore I THINK that means you can use 128x64 OR a 128x128 monochrome bitmap for creating a picture file (and the bottom half doesn't have to be blank!), though you MUST use a 128x64 mono bitmap for creating a capture file.

:)

Completely true, this picture is 128*64, I saved it as monochrome bmp in paint, and I was able to convert it with the fileconverter.

thanks everyone for help!! i did it. but i have another question; i have 63 image to transfer to calc. so how can i save them (for ex 20 by 20 in calculator or any other way) in calc and recall it from memory to image memory of calc. because i can´t see any other method to open 63 both in one session. as you know and i learn above topic we have no program to open them other of calculator own viewer.

Nice pic Distortion... answered his question in the pic lol! :D

you're welcome, Junior ;)

and .. SIXTY THREE?!
Wow.. :)

Could you do it by saving them as .GIM's in storage memory and then accessing them (1 by one or whatever... just not all at once) with the LOADER addin ?
