Do you make games in C language ? Because I'm french and I haven't seen any games or topics about C or C++ language ! So do you program any games like we're used to doing in france ?

Thanks you !

hm. as far as i know, bytefish can't program assembler or c++, but he can visual c++. i think in assembler is one of the best martin! he has modified his calculator (CFX9850G), so that he is able to program in assembler.

"Platinum Edition" BY patrich a. davidson. With "platinum" I refered to the game not to a person.

Yea, Killer meant by "platinum" the game which has been made by Patrick Davidson. It is really an amazing game, with really wonderful grayscale graphics and basic functions really amazing too!!

but it is only available for Graph100(+) and AFX 2(+).

Sady there are very few people on this forum that program for AFX with C or ASM :(
And one other thing - this is not "American" forum, you can "meet" here people from all over the world: USA, Egipt, Australia, Norway, Germany, Chech, Poland, France and so on, for example the creator of this forum - Simon - seems to have something in common with Russia :D
So this forum is rather uiversal (or Russian :D ).
Back to the point - programs that I've made (C / ASM):
Aborea,
Eagle Fighter,
Linl,
TxtView,
BmpDisp,
Enter.com,
VrDemo,
Cube3D,
RoveMov (movie),
...

Every new C/ASM programmer is kindly welcomed. :D
Roeoender.

So sorry ! But I Believed without a second thought that American don't often make game but I was wrong ! Sorry.
But the reason I said that, is because I haven't seen any mail about C language or ASM.
So Now, I'm aware that American have very great programmer !

But the reason I said that,  is because I haven't seen any mail about C language or ASM.

I have put a post about asm (on CFX) more times, but unlucky this forum crashed down a few days later. I put a question for you about new casm.
Please read this http://www.rkk.cz/~mpoupe/develop.html
and tell me what you think.

When I put this question before, somebody told me about NASM, but I cannot find it's specification
Does somebody have it ?

Come on, relax! :D
Do not apologize me, I am no extraordinary, just made some programs and did it just for fun. :D
And of course there are a lot more important to the CASIO community people:
- BradN - without his info we would be still making games in text mode ...
- Dscosphe - without him and his CALLiPSO project we wouldn't even know that CASIO AFX can run x86 programms, he made the first CFX maker for unofficial Add-Ins.
- Martin - I probably haven't said that before, but his page pushed me to buy AFX, so I wouldn't be here now without it.
- Killer/Simon/Mohamed - they take care about the forum and motivate us to continue programming.
And of course there is a huge french community which is very well organised, it is really good that some of them visit this forum (2072 was the first)
I don't even try to mention all the people because it is just impossible and I don't want someone to feel forgotten.
So thank you all,
Roeoender :D

wow, really nice to see some asm code in a Cfx calc!
If you want you can download Tasm 4.1 or 5 (which I use with turboC) or Nasm, just search themon http://www.google.com you'll find them!

But Tasm is for another CPU. It is similar to if someone takes C++ code and
loads it to Borland Pascal compiler.
I need to find features description of some assembler (not the assembler self), to take it as a base idea for CASM. There is NO available assembler on the word (except my casm) I know.
Of course I tried google, it's the first search engine I use.

I wanted to say that roeoender, you're a great programer. Given that all programs and games you made, you must have spent a lot of time for program all the games you made !!!
Roeoender, I hope you don't mind the following question : Why didn't you put the race's source program on the net ?

Hearing from you soon.
 ;)

Sorry, but when I started making Eagle Fighter I also started to develop my own graph library, EF used it but right now it is quite different so I would have to put much work in it to recpompile it.
Anyway I've identyfied the error - the BASIC file search routine had an mistake - I used too low value for "end of ram", so to avoid this error you have to make sure that EF's BASIC data file is in low address of memory - it is easly done by deleting other BASIC files that are before it.

Please note that Eagle Fighter was the first game that used dummy BASIC files to save ASM/C data.
Right Now I am using completly different way of finding BASIC files (I don't scan the whole mem but jump from one Id to another)
I also have somekind of "philosophy" - I don't use someone's else code.
Roeoender.

My basic routines are not code but libraries :) You just have to forget that it comes from a .c file, just think that it's like fopen or printf (which of code has been done by the compiler crue but pre-compiled in .lib files !)

Anyway it's written at a very special address where the basic files end in the RAM (look at my sources to know where :P )

PS: now my libs use the jump method too !

yes, "id jumping" is really faster than the mem scanning!
but now I've understood why EF sometimes wasn't working, because I used to keep many basic files before THE file <_<

to BradN:
Why not, I am open to any "constructive criticism" :D
I treat CASIO ASM/C programming as a relax, so it is not a probelm for me to make those less interesting stuff. I would like to make my programs as coplete as I can, I cannot guarantee that someone else's code/lib is "bug free".
I have enough of my own bugs to worry about.
Roeoender.
