I got a new casio 9860 gII (without SD) and was killing myself about how to write a program in notepad and transfer it into calc...

I finally figured a way out.. may be everyone knows abt it but i just want to help a newbie

1. write a program in notepad and copy it. Open the 9860g emulator (in the utilities CD or download it from the net) and paste the same into a new program (else u can directly type in the emulator)

2. now go to memory>F4 (backup)

3. copy the backup to the calculator using FA 124 application
enjoy

If u want to copy the source code of a previously written program (for reuse) go to memory>SD card and load the g1* files(in emulator) the program would now available in the PRGM menu.. open it as usual .. copy it..(shift) (8) (F1) and paste it in the text editor of ur choice..

This is a very basic method.. and mainly for beginners

another way is to take of the ".txt" section of the file name and put it in storage mem. then use either EDIT or text viewer to read it.
