Hi Kuenze,

Greeting from me and UCF. Welcome.  :)

I am also investigating fx-9860GII/CG50 Casio Basic. Look forward to your experience during testing.

By the way, C.Basic (C compiler add-in) is more useful and advanced than Casio Basic. When you have some experts of that, you can try out it.

Cheers,

CalcLoverHK

Dear kuenze, I recommend the C.Basic interpreter, an add in. There exists a thread here:

https://community.ca...tional-release/

The last versions are at the last page of course.

I shared some programs in C.Basic which are concerned with astronomy in the widest sense (but not navigation). If you have questions, please ask.

dear piu58, thank you very much for your kind answer. i am looking for a compiler to test the casio programs before uploading them to the fx 9860. it takes so much time to debug on the calculator. i would like to try out the programs before. is there a compiler around to do that? as i understand, the basic you mention is a alternative version of cbasic on the calculator itself, which is something else.  best greetings kuenze

There is Casio official SDK to develop add-in. You may find this in CASIO WEW site (https://edu.casio.com/).

The SDK includes fx-9860G emulator, so you can debug your program on your PC. C skill is required to use the SDK.

Regarding C.Basic, currently interpreter version only is released and still in development phase, it's now beta version. This is developed as an add-in on PC. You can write program of C.Basic on your calc, PC is not required. C.Basic is upper compatible version of Casio Basic and much more useful commands are implemented. But not all functions are implemented to C.Basic. Your program on C.Basic runs about 10 times faster than genuine Casio Basic.

Compiler version will be released in the future, we call the compiler version as C:Basic (double dots). We do not know exact release date at this point yet.

If you have interest, please come to C.Basic thread;

Hi, everyone. I'm new here. Just getting started into programming an old fx-9750GA+. I'm also, studying to become a Machinist. Thus, my interest in being able to program Machinist math formulas into my fx-9750GA+. My first goal is to learn if all Casio basic commands are compatible to my fx-9750GA+. Some specific commands I need the syntax for are Locate, and how to clear the screen. Your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
