Hi Capac and welcome to UCF!

If you have not already done so, you should introduce yourself here: http://www.casiocalc...?showtopic=5677 ;)

Hmm... It seems that there is no difference? Is one cheaper than the other? Maybe one just looks "cooler"? Or maybe (and most likely) the boards are different, and one may have inferior hardware to the other. All of these are just guesses, as I do not own any. ;)

Just compare their screen shots here and here.

And get the manual here: http://support.casio...5&cid=004001126

fx-991 can use solar power in addition to its button battery LR-44, while 570 only uses an AAA battery. Their battery lifetime can't be compared, they're both great anyway.

Approximate Battery Life:

fx-570ES PLUS: 17,000 hours (continuous display of flashing cursor)

fx-991ES PLUS: 3 years (based on one hour operation per day)

And 991 is about 2 millimeters smaller in height and 5 grams lighter.

fx-570es plus has abillity to transpose matrix and fx-991es plus cannot do that.

I read in specification.
