Hello! My Casio FX-9860GII seems to have a problem. In class we had to reset our calculators main memory, and mine seemed to get messed up. Now on the RUN/MAT(1) screen, it shows a rectangle where the cursor use to be. The AC/on button no longer clears the screen as well. I now have to press f2,f2,f1 tp clear the screen. Also the carrot button for exponents shows a rectangle where I put the exponent. After it is inputted I have to move the cursor down to go back to the equation after inputting the exponents.

I downloaded the OS from the Casio website but it said my calculator already had that version, so I couldn't re flash it. How can I get my calculator back to normal.

I'm very sure that's just your calculator in math mode, you can change it in the setup menu (shift + menu), and the first option should allow you to choose Linear and Math, by default Math is used (since it's the... more mathematical notation), while Linear allows you to put in coding instructions (like for loops).

So if you have no experience with the Math mode and you don't feel like learning it, you can switch it back to Linear there.
