ok, I've done as requested and it looks like it might end up being both, plus having the ability to forge your own weapons, armor, and other items is a nice side effect. I'm also developing a sort of scripting language for items that should be interesting... if you have a weapon, armor, or item you want just tell me and i'll make it, use this format:

Weapon:
-Name
-Color Alignment (Red,Green,Blue), you can give me a sub color too, I still dont know if it will be used though
-Description
-Effect on striking

Armor:
-Name
-Color Alignment
-Description
-Effect on defending

Useable Item:
-Name
-Description

consider it thinks for the support

i have a whole list of weapon/armour names that i created when i was planning to create Kingdom 2. yet i got too busy and abandoned the project. However soon i think i'll begin programming again, so i will use the names. Sorry Crimson, giving you ideas will make my game less original and interesting. Selfish me! hehe :D

give it a play and tell me what you think.

I've noticed that your graphics are symbol based (or something)

Very nostalgic, when I played pre windows games.
But I've seen some other games that are in developement, that use bitmaps. www.classpad.org
If you build the game with bitmaps, is it possible or will it suffer too much in speed??

another question, can you use the full screen of the classpad in the game and use resize, to view and hide text.
What battle system will you use?? U said your not realy fan of turn based battle. But in battle are you going to use a new screen, as when you enter into a house?

What about creating a menu stats , equipment and other stuff??

Unfortunately the cames on classpad.org are add-ins, and we cant do add-ins yet. If I did bitmaps it would be slightly faster but the size of the game would be far too big :(

when they made the basic language they did not include a way to resize the screen, we can bring up the screens we want and in the order we want, but we cant get rid of them or resize them. the battles will take place on the graph screen (below the main screen) and they will probably have to be turn based, but not mindless turn based, it require an element of skill and stratagy.

I'm in the process of crealting an items menu... but I need to make a few items for it ;)

hp bonus (low, mid, high, full)
mp bonus (low, mid, high, full)
hp+mp bonus (low, mid, high, full)

- refresh screen
- conditional (multi)statements
- looped (multi)statements

do I need anything else?

Well it sounds ridiculous but its truth, and i'm sincere. :P

One good thing for the game would be some activities like the "chocobos" (i dont remember well the name). One time i watch a PS RPG game called final fantasy 8, played by a friend, and thats chocobos were like horses, in the RPG game the user had and use for competitions the chocobos.

Also in zelda were to good the shoes to run faster, or the horse.

well, guess what, Ive decide to revamp everything :)

I'm basically starting over, but I'll be using most of the same code, just fixed up and more stable, I also made a map maker so I can design the maps to look like they will be in the game, it also helps me check the size of the chars i use so that problems dont occure there. anyway, I'm making the starting map (not the demo town, a real one) and going to start writing the plot. I also moved the action to the graph screen and was able to make each screen slightly bigger. I hope to speed things up as well.

btw: I will need 1 or 2 dedicated testers for this, since I want to to be available to the public only after its compleat these people will be the only ones to play the game before its finished.
