I just developed a new rpg engine that so far is increadably light and fast. Its tiled and displayes each screen in ~1 second (fast huh?)... the kicker is that I didnt use a matrix or list to do it. I'll release a demo in a few days.

perhaps the calsspad version... its a totally diffrent look (since the first version lydonia has been a side scroller, this is tiled) but if I do I'll use the same plot for both.

the cfx version is the last of my priorities, it would be slower for one thing unless I sacrificed lots of space... the AFX version would use the Lydonia that already exists and I'd just insert the plot I developed for the classpad version.

:D ok, I have a demo ready. I'm making it open source, but if you use the method I came up with in your own stuff give me some credit  (I'm refering the the map system and solid objects, etc...)

I have yet to use a list or matrix in this program, though I will probably use one for saving games, just for convieniance.

the link is here: www.crimsoncasio.earthforge.com/ClassPad/Games/RPG.zip

to play on your classpad run the program called "Run" if you want to use the manager run the program called "MRun"

--------EDIT-------
forgot to mention, [=] lets you examine things.

also, please dont put this on anybodys site, its just a demo.

you'll like it, its text based but its very fast and soooo easy to edit. I'm debating having on screen enemys and making it a zelda style adventure/fighter.

I'll be able to make the enviornment very interactive.

I think that ' s because the emulator is just a "Unreal ClassPad". I had downloaded the manager for the internet before I bought it, and there was no Memory image when you right click. Only the manager that is on the CDROM come with ClassPad has the functions that CrimSon said.
