The AFX is the best calc form CASIO so if you're planing to buy a calc from CASIO don't hesitate and know that this calc has ASM an C programming abilities.

If you are allowed to use the AFX in school, or where you are working, Buy it! It's the best.

Hi there,

Hate to post this in a casio forum, but you might want to consider another brand...

If you need a good calculator with support for CAS, 3D plotting, and advanced calculations of limits, integrals etc, I'd recomend you buy one of the following:
Texas Instruments: TI89 (HW2), TI92

If you don't need 3D plotting, nor good CAS or calculation of limits you might want to go with the Casio AFX2.0 (Plus). It's not as advanced as the best TI calculators, but it's easier to learn, and you get to hang out HERE B) in this cool forum :D

Err.. to my knowledge the AFX2.0 has good cas, but the 3d-plotting isn't good at all (as there isn't a program for that (yet))

yeah the AFX's CAS can do some things that TI ones cannot and the TI's CAS can do some things that the AFX's CAS connot do...

OK

The AFX CAS is ok, but to my opinion the TI one is better. It has some flaws, but so many more advantages. It's many times better when it comes to calculating lims and infinite sequences. Specialy sequences for PI or e.

AND, TI has built their CAS in to the main math API rather than just added it like a separate program...

Anyway, you're right, the AFX can do some stuff that the TI cannot and vice versa :)

Directly from casio! Or you make one cable yourself. (you can find the diagrams at casiocorner http://casiocorner.rpd.nl)
btw: which one do you mean? (calculator-claculator or calculator-pc)

"rag your car" I don't understand??? This is a CASIO forum, we talk about calculators and calculators only. Cars are for geeks.

i would disagree, car's are for people that go places and have fun. calculators are for people that don't go out, toss themselves off over mathematical things and generally lead a very very sad and sheltered life :P

i mean what the f**k would you rather do, go for a drive, go shag some bird or sit inside and play with your calculator?

i have a fx-83ms with s.v.p.a.m, just because your jeleous does not give you reason to bomb me out this forum, i shant be back anyhow, i hate you!

LOL... this is probably the saddest, most dull thread I have ever had the misfortune to read

Ladies and gentlemen, turn off your scientific calculators and step outside... there are some very interesting things in the real world :D , where real people spend their time.

PS... can anyone tell me how to adjust the time display on my microwave. Its a sharp 650 watt and I want to be prepared for the clocks going back. Thanks in advance.

How many times do i have to tell you people. THIS IS A CASIO FORUM FOR CASIO NERDS. Your microwave is a Sharp and therefore I am not familiar with the clock. If it was a CASIO microwave it would probably be the best microwave in the world.
I LOVE CASIO

But peope ripping us will be banned from the forum... however if u bother to register again and again just to ripp us off, I can't really c what kind of lfe u have..

there is however an easy solution to making reregistering a bit more of a hazzel... one could for send autogenerated passwords by e-mail, and ban e-mail addresses of users who abuse to forum.. so u would have to change e-mail to reregister :)
