Casio hasn't said anything about sound because it isn't supported. As far as I know there are no plans to support sound. This means, even if someone hacks into the beeper on the ClassPad there is a chance that every ClassPad out there will not have a beeper. If someone writes a program that accesses the beeper there is a good change it won't work for every ClassPad. Worse, some ClassPads could even crash. :(

I doubt Casio will ever support sound because most teachers don't want a calculator that beeps. HP has had problems with this issue in their HP48/49. A number of teachers didn't want them in their classroom if they made noise.

I also doubt it would play quality sound. It was designed for simple beeps.

That being said, even an unsupported beeper is still cool

those of us that have them can take advatage of the situation at least...

you can make pretty good music with just beeps, as long as you can control duration and pitch/volume.

Indeed crimson can be made "buena music" modifying the frequency of the sound (beep) this is done regulating the amount of current that circulates around the loudspeaker just as in the internal loudspeaker of the computers, would sound just as a cellular one or that an old game of computers.

The truth is that good I hope that some programmer happens the way to him to accede to this part of the cp300. I that being so new much is not known about her, but have understood that its hardware is enough similar to the one of poket view, so you see to attack the problem we would have to focus from another point of view, but good I as for me do not have poket view and I cannot help much in that.

there are others who do, they can help you with that part of it. :)

I was considering making a sound studio App for the classpad... i dont know if i could do it but i thought it would be a good idea.
