    CP 300

Posted 22 March 2005 - 12:46 AM

Hello,
I had often useed the [ANS] Button on my CFX to get the result for further operations.
On the CFX you have to press the <span class=EXE' /> Key first to load the ANS variable first in the command line.

On the CP300 you had to press the [ANS] button on the tuchscreen, this is bad for fast operations. Can I program my CP300 in the way of the CFX?

Pressing the <span class=EXE' /> button on the blank command line displays the ANS variable?

Please help

Sorry for my bad english :D I hope you understand it anyway.

sorry you can`t do that, i hate that, but in some time you will get use to it, also CASIO can`t change the (-) because it is not nesesary and leve us to choose a key for it, that wolb be nice, crimsomcasio thinks the same as me.

we're still not sure if its even posible to change that (-) key without changing the CP hardware...

we might see some kind of change in the way ANS works on the cp in the future, i agree that it would be nice...

Operating System can handle the (-) key. So CASIO can do it without hardware changes, just print ANS instead of (-) on the front case

no, brian told me that they register as the same key even when using the SDK, he was going to try to find out if they really are hardwired to be the same key, or if they could be manipulated seperately... if they cant then the CP hardware needs to be changed.

:banghead: that is a very big error
they have to think about in a shift key
i think the classpad next generation with this lot of suggestions going a be a very powerful tool
but by the moment is a good tool, a little slack

hehe, I don't think so. cuz if CASIO would consider our suggestions, never released OS v2.0 :( :nonono: .

It appears to send the same message as the [-] key. :( There is probably some way to hack in and determine which key was pressed, but it doesn't look easy. If it were easy I would have already hack the [(-)] key to be a <span class=Shift' />.

BTW, it isn't as nice as an [ANS] key, but some operations will automatically assume ANS if you don't give an argument. For example, enter sin( without and argument and it will assume ANS. Personally I don't like this because it is too easy to enter a syntax error by mistake and not know about it because the ClassPad tried to be smart. (Yeah, yeah.. I can already see the jokes coming about the ClassPad trying to be smart :P ).

lol, if you can create a hack, or better yet, if you can convince casio to change it, make it so that we can select a use for that key to suit our personal prefrence... i'd really like that (for programmers i can see auto-inputing => and for typical users ANS would be good. etc)
