I want to khow more about R&D Center of Casio.
Why in Portland Oregon?
Why not in Japan?
Is there any one there?

Because Saltire is in Portland...as far as I know their offices are just minutes from each other. In fact, Saltire also involved in the AFX design way before ClassPad project.

It is strange that CASIO does not sell its things in Japan! At least we haven't seen any Japanese here...

It is strange that CASIO does not sell its things in Japan! At least we haven't seen any Japanese here...


For all its technological advances and innovation, many will be surprised to find that Japan do not allowed the use of calculator in their school system. Not even those 4-function calculator.

There are a few Japanese engineers over at Portland's research centre.

I have another question:
Is there any CP made in Japan or any where else except China?
for example Malaysia or Indonesia?

Most Casio new models when during first year of production is always produced by its Malaysia plant, after a while they will move the operation from Malaysia to China. There are also some other special calculator models that are only produced in Japan.

Why these questions?

Why these questions?

I just wanted to make sure if there is a Japaness one!
In our country the Japaness one is most expensive one;
And stuff made in Malaysia are more expensive than Indonesia or Chiness one!

Which one develope emulator and other software fo CP? Saltir or Portland Oregon?
Which one is involved in Hardware design?
