Hello, fellow ClassPad users.

I recently acquired a used ClassPad 300 very inexpensively. It is the original version. I have been playing with it for a few weeks now. I really like the calculator, but I have to admit, the display has very poor contrast. It is tiring to use the ClassPad for long periods of time.

I am considering getting a ClassPad 300 Plus, but it isn't available in local stores, so I'll have to buy it on line. Is the display really significantly better? Does anyone have any side-by-side comparison photos?

I'd be willing to spend the money if the display on the Plus is better, but it would have to be noticably so.

Hello, and welcome to the UCF!

The only differences between both calcs are the better screen of the 300+ and a redesigned USB cable. Functionality remains the same

Thank you. Yes, I realized that. But the display bothers me so much (and I got the ClassPad so cheaply) that I would be willing to spend the money for a ClassPad Plus- But only if there is a real difference. That's why I asked if anyone had side by side photos.

Well, the cp 300+ has 5.3 MB flash memory instead of 4 MB.

Really? I hadn't spotted that yet.

Hey, since you seem to be knowledgable, I'm a little confused- Will a new ClassPad Plus come with OS 3.0?

 My recomendation is to upgrade your CP300, and wait for the next style (i don?t know when it will happen, but i suppose that it will be much better), for so long try to know everything of your CP300 and take the plastic screen protector off.

Actually, I tried taking off the screen protector as soon as I got the ClassPad. It doesn't help very much. But thank you for the advice.

viewing a side by side photo, you only can get nothing.. Both calcs appears the same. The PLUS screen is slightly clear than the normal CP one (that have a greenish appearance).

Go for the plus, you never regret it

So there is only a slight difference? I don't think I'll bother to spend the money, then. Thank you for the information.

Go For the Plus Vulpes Virago, the slightly increased memory and the pretty screen are solid reasons to spend the extra 25$

I have the original version of classpad (include classpad manager demo), and for the same reason, I buy the classpad plus, I don't have a picture of the two classpad, but the display is great... Buy it now!! XD

I will try to take a picture of the two classpad.

My classpad 300 (not PLUS) have the 5.3 MB flash memory and not 4MB, and I don't think it was an error.

P.D. Sorry for my poor english, but I only speak spanish... :P

Thank you very much for taking the time to post that picture. It was very kind of you.

I can see that the display of the Plus is significantly better. I think I will start saving up for a ClassPad Plus. I really like my ClassPad, and the clearer display would make it even nicer to use.

Thank you again for taking and posting the picture. It is helpful people like you that make this forum worth visiting.

PS- Your English is fine. I admire people who can communicate in a second language.

Sorry for the double post. It happened when I edited, and I can\'t delete the original for some reason.
