Hey,

I dropped my 9850 plus today before the final exam and the LCD cracked... :(:(

I am wondering is there any place that I can order a replacement for the cracked lcd or,
do you think swaping a dead 9850/9950 w/ good condition lcd will do the trick?

any suggestions will be appreciate!!! :)

Thanks

Yeah, I'm looking for a dead one right now...
see if I'm lucky or not... since casio canada wants to charge me about 80 CDN or 60 USD... which is too pricy for a full time student like me :(

considering the price they are asking, it might just be easier to buy a new 9850 (or a slightly used one) from ebay. I got one of mine for $40 US dollars. Just a thought.

Specifications of the display should be the same.

i think that it would be possible, too.
but why don't you use a little bit more money and buy an AFX 2.0+?

The price for a AFX-2.0 is almost double over a 9850GB plus...
and I don't think I would be able to fully use the 2.0 (which means a waste) anyways.

just curious, will the home made casio cable works for the AFX-2.0 as well?

Thanks :D

Yeah they work... anyway when I got my AFX I didn't really need it (I bought it for its assembler capabilities) but it helped me a lot in maths because you are able to verify very quickly every of your calcul using the algebra feature (without it I may not have succeed to my final exam...).

no, the AFX-2.0 isn't double over a 9850GB plus here in germany.
the 9850gb+ costs 72EUR and the AFX-2.0+ costs 93,90EUR.
