Is possible to use the whole available RAM with the SDK?... 512 Kb would be seriously kick ass to proogram numerical methods or so!

Can the sdk be used to create functions that can be called from the calculator BASIC ?

e.g. to override the numeric precision of BASIC by allowing functions to work on long integer arithmetic.

Or is this the end of BASIC's usefulness on casio calculators ?

Working with pointers in C is a pain, can pascal or anything else be used with the sdk ?

Well, programming in C is a lot better than in BASIC. However their are no functions for communicating with the communications port and no functions also for greyscale pixels. :( Besides those points, the SDK, especially the IDE, rocks!!! :D The SDK allows you to open, read and write files from storage memory and even from the SD card!

A first game with open source is disponible on planetecasio.com

ultime snake

it uses stdlib and stdio for display variables (the Print() function of sdklib only points on strings) and uses random.

If someone ports LUA to fx9860, could be the end of all our problems. ( I'm not pointing to Orwell :) , He has enough headaches with porting LUA to the CP at now)

Maybe I can help in porting LUA and maybe even MLC to the fx-9860 platform. :D
