Does anybody know how to display formulas ? I have one of those (fx 5000 f) but it does not show formulas nor simple operations ... can u help ?

On the right side of the calculator, at the boundary between black plastic and silver metal, is a little wheel. Turn it up to increase screen contrast.
If that doesn't work, the batteries may need replacing. Then,
1) type any number from 1 to 128 and then press the "FMLA" key, to access the 128 built in formulas, or...
2) store your own formulas with "mode" "2", select one of 12 formula memories ("0" through "B") with the arrow keys, and specifying your formula, then "mode" "1" to return to "run" mode. Recall with "Prog" key and then the formula memory number ("0" though "B") and then "EXE" to run it.
