I have made a nice posting at Omnimaga recently and put some OS 2.0 tricks there.
So if you are interested, have a look here: http://www.omnimaga....14234#msg114234

For instance, programming a shell-like interface is pretty easy in BASIC - now that we have strings.
Writing a parser, however, is still painful and I did only a few tests back in 2009. ;)

You may also be interested in two of my BASIC tutorials:
- One deals with compression techniques and using this for strings on older devices
- The other one gives an introduction to menu programming

Unfortunately, both are in German and I don't have the time to translate them adequately.
If you have any difficulties reading those, then use Google Translate of course.

How does this shell like interface work?

You type some commands and then the program does some predefined stuff.

Will this work on fx-9860GII also?

This has been designed on an fx-9860G. ;)

This was a demo only. I guess, we don't need a shell on the fx-9860G at all.
