Grr... my cables still broken... anyway, after what was said about Gang Fight not being possible on CFX but maybe a smaller version, I was inspired. I am now working on a super fast, full colour fighting game for the CFX. It will consist of 3 pictures for the player and 3 pictures for the comp, standing, punching and kicking. I will put up 'picture packs' on my website so you can choose a human player, a comp player and start playing. Unfortunately, the game would have to be less than 2000 bytes. So far, the possibilities I have conjured are, moving left and right (the comp is replaced by an arrow) and maybe simple combos. Any more suggestions?

You would face the problem of the arena, in GF2 he saved the arena in a picture and he only changed the health bars and the moves.
So that would give you a headache, unless you make a very simple arena that doesn't take time drawing or don't make an arena at all!

-------EDIT-------

Why didn't I think of that?
You could save the arena picture in one of the player's movements!
I think I'm dumb!

bob... you'd have no way of getting the pictures :plol:

something with the color layering perhaps?

i really dont think this will be possible, and if done it wont be as good since the graph on the cfx is slower. I'll think about it though.

you could always make a setup prog that would draw everything and then save it as a pic, so people could type in the setup

I never thought of that, putting the arena pics with the characters, but that would mean a conflict between the two characters, unless all characters store the same arena... I'd rather have full screen characters and a line for the health bar. I won't be able to do jump as it's complicated as it is, the game already flashes way too much (plus, it would be nice to see your character ALL the time). And something stupid, I'm using the variables X and Y so I can't display text, maybe I'll change it.

I've decided on the game I'm making, Killer Instinct. Yes, it has 5 characters from the game, combos and the trademark combo breaker. I've finished the actual program and working on the pics, you can select any positive number for the difficulty. Anything between e and pi is good for me .

@Crimson: it works and is quite fun... just a bit flashy.

But I'm the worst calc artist in the world, Brazzucko, where are you, my pictures are too complex and hard to see, I need your style of graphics.
