dont worry, half the people have bad english here (including me, an im from england!!!)

anyway, the only way to get lowercase letters is to send them to the calculator, using FA123, and then copying them into the program, a very long task on the CFX, as it dosn't have the Copy and paste function that the AFX has/

your best bet is to write the prog on the PC and download it to your calc, if you need a PC to Calc cable, check my site casiofortissimo

the unofficial cable is easyer and more common to build

hope this helps

for the copy-paste you can save the lowercase letters in the function memory (abcd in f1, efgh in f2, ijkl in f3, mnopq in f4, rstu in f5, vwxyz in f6 for example)

fa 123 has an edito (or so I think).
Open a file,
type all lowercase letters (a-z) in and send it to the calc.

Now go to PRGM Menu and open the file.
Press OPTN -> FMEM -> STORE -> f6

No go to run menu

press OPTN -> FMEM -> RCL -> f6

Delete all letters except abcd now do OPTN -> FMEM -> STO -> f1
do the same with all other blocks (e-i ,...) and use f2-f6 for them.
(You must use f6 last since you overwrite the alphabet afterwards.

No you can copy the letters in you program by
using OPTN -> FMEM -> RCL and the corrseponding memory in the
PRGM Menu.

This is quite difficlt and it might be better to write you programs with upper case
and then copy them to the PC, replace the upper case characters with lower case ones
and send it back to the calc.

I use the function memory method, but every time I need a symbol, it's one of the ones that isn't there... :profanity: I prefer FA-123 as every time I use CasioCom, I get the 'blue screen of death' and the PC<->Calc doesn't work, but FA-123 is in real need of a face-lift. It's 5 years old...

@juggler, FA-123 has a calculator and CasioCom has an emulator!

I have both at the moment, casiocom and fa-123. And I use fa-123 for the transfers but I use casiocom to see te script and all that stuff.
Does one of you know how that screen capture function of fa-123 works? I can click the picture on the toolbar but then? It stays on 0%.

you first have to go to the link
menu and have to enable screenshots (Don'T remember the exact name).
After you did this connect PC->CALC
and now select capture on fa-123 and then press [F->D] on the calc.
Thats it

exit all of the menus, run the prog you want to capture then
on you PC press (in fa-123) screen capture (you will get the 0% dialogue)

Hi, I have a CFX-9850GB PLUS.
I was wondering if I could program the letters in the calculator.
Eg. if I could program the letter G to 6,67 x 10(-11) (the gravity constant), and than type G in an example instead of writing the whole constant like when I type phi, the calculator knows that I really mean 3,14.

Can anyone help me?
