if you are using basic, you might be able to do...
Locate x,y," "

x and y being whatever your coordinances are for the target. hope that helps

It isn't hard, i think you should look at the code of another game, similar to yours. that's the best way to learn.

BTW how long have you been programming for? As if you have just started, it's best to work on very simple progs.

good luck

peice of advise (and a plug) do a search on this forum for Casio BASIC Tutorial, it is a beginers guide to Casio BASIC and it should help you (its not done yet, but its far enough to help you i think).

as for your current problem try this as an example:

1->T
1->A
1->B
Lbl 1
if T=1
Then Locate A,B,"*"
Else Locate A,B,"*"
Locate A,B," "
EndIf
Getkey->G
if G=27
Then A+1->A
Else If G=28
Then B-1->B
Else if G=38
Then A-1->A
Else if G=37
Then B+1->B
Else If G=78
Then -T->T
EndIf:Endif:Endif:EndIf:EndIf
Goto 1

crimson you forgot the [shameles plug] tags!

BTW: all you are doing for the enemy to die is to clear his square. so plotting a space over it will clear it.

CAT files are for add-ins, and you need the cable and add-in installer (or similar program) to install them, you cant look at them in text form cause they are packaged executables.

btw, where did you live in japan, I used to live in okinawa back in 3rd-5th grade. (I can still say good morning, but thats about it :lol: )

well, if you want to find a link cable for a reasonable price, go to Charlie Watson.

i bought my link cable from there, and it works for both AFX and CFX calcs.

So, how long have you had your calc for?

@crimson: CAT files arnt just for add ins, in fact, i have never seen an addin with a .CAT format. .CAT files are the pc's format for BASIC a .CAT format can be read by FA123, and CasioCOM, and transferd using the link cable.

CK, is Charlie Watson still working from Christmas to New Years? I've decided to buy one off him but one question, what did you do about the 25 pin cable, did you buy an adaptor? And how can I be sure it works, after all I need a cable because my 'official' one broke.

Milton, when you start programming, just do everything logically using If Then Else IfEnd statements. Later on programming gets really annoying as there are some simple things that are nearly impossible to do. For that, I used casiokingdom's idea and copied other programs. Right now, I'm working on a Myst/Riven/Exile style RPG but I'm no good at drawing pictures. Where is the author of Deathtrap Dungeon?

Genesis, i'm not sure, you should check the website.

i bought my adapter from charlie watson, there is a tick box on the order form.

And the cable and adapter works, well for me...besides, you can always return it if it is faulty. i think his home (office) is in Wembley.

platinum is an executable (like the ones for the PC) that can be installed like the casio programs.
You msut use either Flash100 / FlashCOM or Casio ADD-IN Installer. This programs are
installed on the flash.
