I just bought my first graphing machine (Algebra fx2.0) and would like to start downloading a few programs that I've downloaded from the members pages here. To be honest, I have no idea as to where I need to start. I know that I need a pc-link cable which I am in the process of getting ordered. Is there anything else that I'll need as far as downloading the programs to my Casio? How about setting up the pc for downloading the programs to the AFX?
I know these have probably been asked a million times on here and I tried doing a search for the information to save from posting, but had no luck on finding anything. I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse here
I would really appreciate any suggestions/advice.

Go to www.earthforge.com then visit some of that sites. There are great casio sites for the AFX, my favorites one are:

Then you need to learn how to use FA-123 for make transfer of casiobasic files (*.cat), add-ins, how to view images and upload ASM/C files. Also it would be nice if you read some topics of the main forum that are related with all that you want to learn. Good luck.

i dislike 'blowing my own trumpet' but i think you should look at my site, there is a section on building cables, a section on testing cables (they are both being updated soon), there is also a PCB on the site. if you want i could build you one.

the flashcom tutorial (available on andy's or my site) will help you with the ASM/C programs and games, and you can always ask questions here if you have problems.

we dont mind answering the same questions over and over, it makes us sound smart , at least you took the time to do a search, many people dont <_<

wnc, you will find that 90% of the casio user sites are run by people that are members of this forum, ask and you shall recieve

if your good with other languages I have a very large link list on my site but many casio sites are in french or german (and one in spanish). if you need to find anything you can find it by following those links.

as for advise, the best is dont hesitate to ask questions, its what were here for. no one is going to go nuts and scream at you because they think your asking a stupid question, we have a very high tolerance level (just look up any post by "P.J." to see what I mean), besides, there are reasons people ask the same questions over and over, they tend to be the brain busters

Really good description of that site on your link page, its a nice site (I had forget it). I visited by first time that website about 1 year ago, its still the same no updates but good whey you are new with the AFX.
