Flashcom is better than casio add-in Installer, it's faster, you can put more icons...

cfx files are packages that contain the exe file and an image that is loaded in
the menu. so you can't create them with turboc but have to package them using
Add-in packager.owever, this program is quite outdated so you'd better
use either flash100 or flashcom cause they can create drives that may contain multiple
executables and other files liek bitmaps or movies. In combination with gcomm on the
calc you can upload executables on lightspeed.

The last version of Add-In Packager supports everything Casio does except RXE creation. You can add as many files as you like, and any type of file, no limits (except the calcs).

And it supports more than that too! If anyone has figured out how the CALiPSO cfx format works, it also supports adding as many linked icons to the icon menu as desired, and the scripting functionality, but I doubt anyone uses those features. (How sad :()

Not to mention it doesnt have to make cfx files but can do lec and cdr...

Not so outdated ;) (though Add-In Installer is)

Status of the major programs I was developing:

dRXE - The source of the functional version of this program was lost. Before it was lost it successfully converted exe files to the datalight rxe format. It was a limited conversion, only exes that had to be fixed up a certain way at run time could be converted, however, most custom programs I tested (it had a function to test) were ok. Ive been trying to compile a text with RXE info in it for a while, if you are interested it would be better to chat with me though.

Add-In Packager - I believe this reached v2.15 before its current source was lost, I have it backed up to v2.13. 2.15, should have been released publicly. I have not looked around though.

Commander - My most tragic program, it is backed up only to a very primitive version. Anyone who wants to try it should ask Mohammed (or anyone else i sent betas) for a beta copy. I have been trying to comment the code and plan to release the source I have eventually. When I lost the modern source, I started work on a new GUI system for it which the source can also be released.

Casio is no longer a priority for me so these programs are dead under me. Id rather pass on the ideas to anyone who wants them.

I have posted a spec file of the CALiPSO cfx format here: CALiPSO cfx
