Here is my first program in C
I've had enough of the ***** who play clearing the memory of my calc and of the ones who are always playing with it when I need it etc ...
So I decided to make a program to block all the others by password...

For that you MUST have GComm installed on the calculator or a program on your PC which can modify your icons.

so with GComm or an other editor you must replace the original icon
like that for exemple (if you want to protect L:\LINL.EXE)
NAME : LINL.EXE
PATH : L:\
ARGUMENTS :

by this one :

NAME : CODE.EXE
PATH : M:\
ARGUMENTS : L:\LINL-ABCD

DON'T put ".EXE" at the end of the program name
ABCD is the password

With this program you can also protect the originals icons of the calc
it's easy look at this exemple :
(in order to protect the icon "SYSTEM" on a g100+)

NAME : JOINT3.EXE
BMP : SYSTEM.BMP
PATH : H:\
ARGUMENTS : SYSTEM
VERSION : 1.03

replace by :

NAME : CODE.EXE
BMP : SYSTEM.BMP
PATH : M:\
ARGUMENTS : H:\JOINT3-AB-SYSTEM
VERSION : 1.03

here the code is AB
for now the code lenght for this programs is limited by the argument size (in this case only 2 caracters)

I hope you've understand all
tell me if you experience problems with this program (or with this post :D !!!)

So have you try it?
please tell me what I must change in this prog...
I know there is a lot of changes to make ...

I wil change the caracters by "*" and allow passwords larger than 2 caracters for the casio icons ...
I will also improve the prog in order to make it easier (with a cursor MAJ del etc ....)

tell me your ideas

Most of the people makes passwords like their mother's name or their favorite film and it's stupid! this passwords are easy to find...

this times I have a lot of work but I think I will make a new version wednesday...

The new version is avaible!
So now you can add numbers to your passwords...
you can also make larger password than in the next version ...
to do that just skip the drive letter in the icon ..
like that :

JOINT1-ABCD-PROG

(or E:\JOINT1-AB-PROG)
(but it takes more time)

I also fixed a big bug (!) which allows you to launch a program without the right password!

now if you press f1 you will see an "about box"

and that's all

I give you the link one more time :

i am very impressed, i have now set a 5 num/letter password, to protect my DirExplorer, which all my college mates muck about with. are you going to make a version with the * rather than the password char?

Yes if you want I can do it straightaway ... I've forgotten to do it!
so, you want to be able to switch from the * to the password chars?

New release...
2 bugs fixed:
- type DEL many times with the old version and you will see a great bug -> fixed (I found this bugs thx to a friend who wanted to find my password!)
- bug fixed which prevent you from executing a prog which is on the drive H (and the next ones)

I hope it works I haven't try it...
