er, give us an exampole of what you mean, you can create graphs from lists or tables. could you explain what you mean a bit more please :)

BTW: welcome to the UCF :D

[shameless plug]check my site out (link in sig) it has the most electronics related AFX progs on the web![/shameless plug]

Bode plots nee a log scale, and that you can't just do on the AFX.
Maybe you could sort of make a program that draws the plot without any scale, just different slopes (it will look like a bode plot though), but this will take more effort than what it's worth.
You do it by hand easier. :)

Calculators don't solve everything in the world. :banghead:

You can do it in the classpad!! I did that in my AFX without logaritmic scale, doing a little casiobasic program that store the values on lists, then go to the list mode and graph it with dots. He send me an email and i reply him with the answer, today i first read my new e-mails then visit the forum :) .

lets us assume you have a RC network as a lowpass filter and you have VO/VI that is (if i'm not wrong) 1/(s*R*C+1)
now you will have to make s=jW and then make W=10^X now you should have
y=1/(j*(10^W)*R*C+1), now all you need to do is start giving values to W and ask the calculator the modulo or the angle, if you want the modulo then make
A=20*log( r ), if you want the angle just extract the angle with A=theta and then plot(W,A).

the r and theta are obtained with the Pol command (i think)
this might have a few bugs because i don't have my casio here (at school) but this should be enough for you to start programing your bode plotter.

maybe i'll program one of those but it's going to be painfully slow, specially for the angle plot :(

PS. the angle must be set to DEG. AND the plot will be in LOG SCALE

I realize that this type of problem is very similar to the one I posted in a new topic (see "didital signal applications")...so it seems something many people in this community need to solve....Rookie's idea seem s good, but....is not there the possibility to trace a function of modulo and phase of a complex number depending from a varying parameter? (that is W=pulsation and f=frequency respectively in lopl case and in my case???)...in which mode should I make the calculator function? (calculus mode or graph mode? but the graph mode does not support complex number syntax...should use polar or parametric notation???)..mmmmmm

I am in great dubt...

A "BODE PLOTTER" is on his way, i'm just solving a few unexpected problems with the tracing mechanism i want to implement and once they are solved i will release it to the public B)

I forgot to say that my calc is a CFX, so some lines of the code need to be rewritten for AFX :banghead:

it shouldnt need translation... the AFX is 99% backwards compatible.

It needs translation, i use the => symbol, Function memory, and some other stuff that might need some recoding. it's just a small recoding job anyway but it's needed.

the only thing i can think of that wont transfer is a ViewWindow setting that makes plots and pixels equal.
