Hello, just a quick & simple n00b question - does fx-991s have any "undocumented" or "hidden" functions? I know lots of calculators do and this is the only Casio I've got at home and it seems to be pretty dull (this-direction-wise). My other calculator is TI 57 which has rather lot of hidden functions.

(I expect the answer to be No but then, one never knows... <_< )

have you tryed the hidden menu? i dont know if it exists on that calc, but you could try:

1. Switch off calc
2. hold down [Ab/c] + <span class=F6' />
3. Tap [AC/on]

this gives you a menu, if you havent, back up your programs, because one or two of the functions can wipe your calc's program memory.

not that i can think of, though the AFX has more, and so does the classpad... in reality the hidden menus (with the possible exception of the classpad) are no more than noveltys, they have no real purpose.

1. Hold <span class=7' /> <span class=Shift' /> while pressing [on]

2. Press <span class=Shift' /> several times for next hidden mode.

But I have still question about the fx-991s. :)

press MODE 4 times & you'll get to ENG 1 page, then press [0], [.] & MODE buttons simultaneously to open the hidden menu.
instead of showing you the standard Posted Image page, it'll show you 2 more menu "BASE-n 1 2 3", 1 for linear algebra solution, 2 for quadratic.
