I recieved an e-mail the the Web Ring has been abandoned, I'd like to discuss what we should do about it, should it be adopted, or should we let it die and possibly make another?

i don't see point in the webring.

If we do a REAL link exchange this will be better.
I don't like thoose things since they tend to die fast
while links won't die away :)

I had a feeling you guys would ;)

I never really liked it, but if we set up something based from the UCF it would be good, after all, it is a network.

it would be nice if you could make the location and colors of the code more variable... its always been a pain to have it on the main page (and it clashes horribly)

lets try this:

<table border="0" width="300" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" navolcolor--"><tr><td nowrap><table border="0" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="0" width="100%"><tr>
{{navbarlogourl}}<td width="1%" nowrap><img src="--navbarlogourl--" width="50" height="50" alt="--title--" border="0"></td>{{/navbarlogourl}}{{!navbarlogourl}}<td width="1%" nowrap align=center valign=middle><a href="--nurl--?ring=--ringid--" target="_top"><img src="http://img.webring.com/wricon.gif" alt="--title--" border=0></a></td>{{/!navbarlogourl}}
<td nowrap><table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="4" width="100%" align="center"><tr><td nowrap><font face="arial"><b>--title-- </b></font></td>
{{name}}<td nowrap align="right"><font face="arial" size="-2"> by <a href="--rm_mid--/profile?y=--ringmaster--">--ringmaster--</a></font></td>{{/name}}
</tr>
<tr><td nowrap colspan="2" align="center"><font face="arial" size="-1" color="#000000"> [ <a href="--murl--?ring=--ringid--;addsite" target="_top">Join Now</font></a> | <a href="--nurl--?ring=--ringid--;id=++id++;hub" target="_top">Ring Hub</a> | <a href="--gurl--?ring=--ringid--;id=++id++;random" target=_top>Random</a> | <b><a href="--gurl--?ring=--ringid--;id=++id++;prev" target=_top>&lt;&lt; Prev</a> | <a href="--gurl--?ring=--ringid--;id=++id++;next" target=_top>Next &gt;&gt;</a></b> ]
</td></tr></table></td></tr></table></td></tr></table>

ive removed all instances where the color is set, that should allow each site to fully customize it while still having the basic look. i also gave it no border, that way people can just put it in a table if they want it to have a border.

give that a try and tell me if it works :)
