Go there for the file sharing http://www.casiocalc...o=fsdisplay.php (there is also a link on each forum page)

You have to be a member of the forum to be able to upload (and to have registered at least 12 hours ago).
You can only uplaod RAR archives :)
Your file maximum size is 400 Ko
You can put a link to your file (if you already have it hosted somewhere else)
If you are a new member (registered less than 1 month ago), your files won't appear right away, an administrator of the forum will have to validate it before.

Post your comment here.

Why does the file name have to be "filename_###.rar"?? it's makes things difficult. btw i tried to upload my files, but it says it won't upload, as my filename is wrong, but i was like this "casiokingdom_1.rar"

There is 3 '#' so try with "casiokingdom_100.rar" and it will work ;-)

When you have a lot of files on your computer this naming format is useful, you never have to wonder which version the file is...

Good work!
My comments:
1. 200Kb is not enough (400Kb is more realistic)
2. zip files should be accepted too
3. description background is too dark (well all is too dark and it is not afault of my monitor ;))
4. more sub categories- games, libs, documents etc.
5. 'Resources' instead 'Ressources' ;-)
Anyway it will be really usable. Thanks!
Roeoender.

2- NO!! :profanity: Me alive, Zip files will never be accepted here! :crimson: Zip is outdated and worthless RAR rulez over all archivers on earth! :P

1- OK I can make it 400Kb no problem but note that you only have 30 seconds to upload your file. (And remember you are using RAR not that zip thing...)

3- I don't think so, make sure your monitor is SRGB compliant or whatever.

4- no problem they can be created by our beloved admins :)

5- Sorry in French it is Ressources, (The English who stole us that word just forgot a 's'...) :)

To Andy Davies: you uploaded 7 files, that's fine but the name you gave to these files is useless!

If I force people to make filenames like "name_###" it's to help users who download these file to recognize them on their hard drive so uploading 7 files wich respective names are

Andy_001.rar
Andy_002.rar
Andy_003.rar
Andy_004.rar
Andy_005.rar
Andy_006.rar
Andy_007.rar
is completely useless!

How am I suppose to know that "Andy_003.rar" represents "Logic Gate Output Finder" ????

Instead you should have named this file something like "logic_gate_output_finder_100.rar" which would have meant "Logic Gate Output Finder version 1.00"

I've corrected the bug you told me above. (you may have to restart your browser to the change to take effect).

That's wrong... it depends what you compress, for exemple ACE handle .wav files better than RAR but RAR handle other files better than ACE... On average RAR is better (I did tests). Anyway the high ratio isn't the only reason, RAR have A LOT of feature ace doesn't have...

Be sure to use RAR 3.30, the compression algorithms have changed since RAR 2.9.

---EDIT---

about the colors, as I said I don't want casiocalc.org to look like a big IPB forum. If the forum looks good it's because there is a lot of tables inside other tables, but if you make a whole page without tables with these colors it looks weird...

Andy: No need I remove old files (don't have time right now), just upload the new one.

hmmm... well I don't like auto delete, some programs don't deserve to be deleted. I'll make something to allow members to delete/modify their files but in some time.
The validation process is also here for that purpose: to check if no other versions of the file already exists etc...

Ok :) I've validated your files, corrected spelling mistakes and removed the "Made by Andy Davies" (it's alreaday written near the file description).

I've implemented your suggestion, now your redirected to the cat where you've just added a file.

Another modif: Now the number of files presents on ALL sub-categories are displayed near the category name (another little recoursive function to make this - I like those little functions :) ). I did this because one could think no files at all where present...

Please everyone FILL THE FILE SHARING with LINKS or FILES you already have!

I've added a link to it at the top of every pages of the GRAPH100.COM forum... http://forum.graph100.com

It worked fine for me, I see what you mean by linking (btw, the first time I saw URI on the forum, I thought it was a typo ). I included some of the projects I WAS working on because a few people requested it. You're right Crimson, the RAR file was so small and compact I couldn't believe it (but maybe this is what's causing the problems <_< after all, how can you compress pure code?).

Thankyou for changing my link B)!

juste accept zip files like everybody, it's so simple !

Hehe... I knew you'd say that Crimson. I just saw you mentioned something about only accepting RAR files so I tried and found your reasons justified ;). Before, I'd have agreed with people saying only accept .zip files but .rar files are really good, WinRAR is a state-of-the-art application and works with everything, wheras WinZip only works with .zip files. Also, WinRAR is easier to use and more reliable.

About saving 1k, I saved about 100k on my games package on the filesharing and thats just for tiny CFX programs, (although, if there is only one .cat file, please for god's sake, don't zip it on YOUR website ) AFX files are quite big right? And another thing, it includes utilities ie. computer applications and those aren't just a few kilobytes...

But I'm not saying you're wrong, accept .zip files to keep everyone happy (now, who was I talking to? :plol:)
