Hey,
Was wondering if anybody could help me find a program for a CFX 9850 G, another topic has a similar thread but i don't think that program works for my calculator.
What i'm looking for is a program that will alow me to enter two coordinates into the calculator and then get the calculator to work out the bearing and distance between those two points. Then using a coordinate and the calculated bearing and a distance be able to work out the coordinates of a new point.
Any help with this would be appreciated.
Cheers

Do u know where i'd be able to get a key press list in order to type it into the calculator, the program is similar to what i'm wanting in that it'll work out the distance and the bearing of two coordinates, does it also work out new coordinates using a distance and a bearing?
Thanks for your help.

the key values are listed in your manual, in the programming section. but if you tell me what keys you want the numbers for I can give them to you.

Hey it was more a case off the .cat file won't open with any program on my computer and was wondering if it was possible to list the program on this website so that i could try typing it into the calculator myself.
As u can probably tell i don't have much experience in this field so any help u can give me would be great.

you need the FA-123 or CasioCom, i think andy has both on his site.

yeah, i have both
also, you can use notepad to open the file, it will just be slightly harder to work out the code.

oh, and you cant just click on them, they must be opened manually from the program. (file->open->.cat)

Very easily done berk,
Goto OPTN-ANGL-Pol( [OPTN-F6-F5-F6-F1] and type in the coordinates seperated by a comma. It will give a table with r (distance) at the top and theta (bearing) at the bottom. The function Rec( works in reverse.
However, this creates List Ans, which can now be easily deleted by going to STAT or LIST mode, putting the cursor over List 1, typing List Ans and deleting it.
=== EDIT ===
Sorry didn't read the question properly, but it does work in a similar way to this.

Well i tried playing around with the pol( function but not getting to give me back any answers that seem to work.
We use to use hewlett packards calculators to work out our coordinates but they've stopped making the type we use so can't get new ones.
But basicaly if i have the coordinates: Cor 1 (66191.365, 64457.987) and cor 2 (66187.389,64447.487) with the two numbers being the easting and northings of each coordinate i want to calculate the distance and bearing between Cor1 and Cor2 and then using that calculated bearing ( or adding 90/180 degrees etc) and a new distance and then either Cor1 or Cor2 be able to get the calculator to give me a new coordinate at the set bearing and distance from the original coordinate.
I'm not sure how to type this into the calculator using pol( or rec( or if these functions will do what i require.
Probably haven't explained it very well which doesn't help you's much but any further help if possible would be appreciated.
