I, and i'm sure a few other members, would like to know the status of events and projects such as the UCF CD and the 2004 UCF Programming Competition.

Has the CD been released yet, huhn_m?
When is the competition? i think there should be one every year. shouldn't it be commencing soon? the competition is great and fun. i certainly enjoyed it last year. not sure if i can enter this year though. too busy with homework. i will try still though.

Admins, please keep us informed with new updates. thx :)

One more thing! :)

I see some shortage of programs (many useful can be done for AFX).
So I think that it would be good to do Programs Programming Competition besides Games Programming Competition.

Who think that?s a good idea?? :hammer:

we have suggested that before, but it would be hard to judge, as a useful program to one person might not be useful to another person, and would get very variaing scores, unless it was just marked on its interface and menu coding etc.

Let people decide which program is useful ? do some vote, or something like it.
Is it possible?

concerning the UCN CD ...

well ... I don'T get Kylix instaleld right now so you'll have to wait for the <{GNULINUX}> version a bit until I resolved the Error.

As For the Windows Version ... Well I didn'T completely port it to windows yet
and the gameas are still on the School computer.

The delay is caused by:
  • Lack Of Time
  • Other Projects
  • Lack of a USB stick
  • Lack of helping Members :(

Maybe it would be cool make a calendar for a year, with some events marked, but this isn't of the pleasure of the admins coz, if i know there will be a game competition on December, i can do that game on the entire year, and the principal game competition objetive is the realease of new games.

Maybe it would be good make the game competitions with categories, by example, a competition only for RPG's, etc... I dont know, i only wrote here all that was in my mind in this moments :P.

Admins are dead!
Admins know nothing about nothing. :P (that's a correct statement if you read carefully ;) )

Now really, I'm in the middle of my final year exams, and I haven't logged till now.
So about the UCN CD, huhn_m is the responsible and he has replied.
As for the competition, Crimson was busy with the ClassPad challenge but now he should be ok.
I'll talk to other admins and will probably create a voting topic for the competition (not holding one, but what would you like it about).

Ok?

i think the comp should be for games not programs. as it is easier to judge.

In my opinion programs competition will be as suitable as games competition.
Is it possible to do a vote for the best game and program?
