Yeah, yeah, I'm a n00b. Get over it. I came to this site by semi-accident. Currently, I am redesigning a website for TI, and HP graphing calculators. Well, suffice to say, the old programmers of the site were quite biased towards you Casio guys, or gals (the TI and HP community are like 99.9% Male, don't know bout you guys, so I gotta be nice!!). So, in order to keep the peace, I searched, and searched through the mighty oracle that is called "Google". I found nothing but teacher pages. All I wanted was a listing of all the Casio Calculators! So, using the intellegence of my little brother, I decided to just randomly type in "www.casiocalc.org", as there are www.calc.org, www.ticalc.org, and www.hpcalc.org.... I was happy when I saw that it worked! I was even happier when I saw "CrimsonCasio", one of my co-workers at www.dysfunctionti.tk.....

Anyways, I would appreciate some input on what you guys would like on www.calc.org. I also need info on all of the calculator's that Casio provides! Thanks! and have a good day!

Fixed the problem ;) -- Crimson
Thank you ;) --Patori

welcome pat :)

dont worry, we dont do the noob bashing I've seen on the ti forums ;)

anyway, first off the casiocalc.org is a new thing, untill just recently we were casiocalc.org. as for a list of calcs here are the major ones:

fx-4700 (the really simple modle)
CFX-9850 (and its offsets)
CFX-9950 (and its offsets)
FX 1.0
Algebra FX2.0
ClassPad 300

btw, we have 1 girl, "Flore Love" but she runs casiocalto.free.fr and doesnt come here often.

as for Dysfunction I havent actually told anyone about that yet (mostly cause it has spoiler info for lydonia), but if anyone wants to go/join its better to use www.dysfunction.co.nr as .tk doesnt let you log in. the site is hosted on earthforge so you could also use dysfunction.earthforge.com (and please nobody kill me for using php nuke :( )

anyway, i'll keep looking.

great :)

the design a calc thing is neat (but again, no casio ;) ), here's some info for that:

fx 4700: easy to use, very cheap, pathetic programming, middle to high school, useable on tests, no real advanced features.

cfx 9850: easy to use, cheap, ok programming (BASIC only), middle to college, useable on tests, dynamic graphing and conics section most advanced features (and has color).

cfx 9950: same as above, but has more memory and a very simplistic CAS, i think its useable on tests.

FX 1.0: moderately cheap, easy to use, supports ASM/C and BASIC (better quality), high school and up, has a hidden CAS and all the features of the CFX except no color, useable on tests.

Algebra FX2.0: same as the FX, but a bit more expensive, the CAS isnt hidden on this model so its not useable on the ACT, but it is on the SAT.

ClassPad 300: fairly expensive, easy to use, Supports C,C++, ASM, and BASIC++ and has a SDK from Casio, high school and up, very nice CAS and some extreamly advanced features, not useable on any tests i know of ;)

edit: ahh, were being invaded :lol2:

So basically, those calcs would be like cheating.... I know they banned a few TI calc's, because of the Notefolio program (which you can use to cheat)... I hate cheaters.

it depends on the class/test, some teachers allow CAS's and some dont... a CAS wont show the work for you so if thats required all the CAS can do is tell you if you got it right.

i dont use msn... but its in my profile, click my name.

what kind of suggestions? site design? content? other?

one thing i think would be nice is to have a archive of emulators for the diffrent calcs, here's one for the AFX: http://ymorgan.site....100/WinG100.zip

and one for the CFX: http://casiofortissi...ic/casiocom.zip

there is one for the classpad but it costs money... :(

This is a link to where you can download an emulator for the class pad 300. I don't know if this is what you want and I have never tried it myself (I stick to my own calc, it's a shame you don't have one but I do see that we are converting you).

you have to pay to get the whole thing, this one will not let you do certain stuff the full one can, and it can only be used so many times or it has a time limit
