I have Windows XP SP1 and I want to use the FA-123 to get my stuff on my calculator. No big deal, so it seems, but XP says that it can't run MS-DOS files.

This system is no suitable for running MS-DOS applications.

What do I do now?

Unless you require FA-122, use FA-123 instead. You can get it from the Casio website.

Yes I've tried that, and I've tried on every setting. 95, 98/ME, NT SP5, 2000. Same error everytime! Yes on FA-123 too!

I can't get the setup to work. I hate CasCom. Only got it to work once.

i have an issue. long story short, my home pc is dead, got an exam in two days, just brought a cable so i can cram some notes in, ran the FA122 program on the uni computers except that i dont have permission to install stuff permanently, only each time i log on and then anything ive installed gets deleted, which is fair enough otherwise people would install heaps of crap and cause more troubles. this is bad because the program needs to be restarted to get the right font thingy and trust me itshard enough trying to program let alone in heiroglyphics/windings. so my question is: is there a way that i can get the correct font settings without having to restart the computer? or anyway around this? any prompt reply would be greatly appreciated cos i have my exams on wed and i dont want to spend more time worrying about this than i have to. i dont know if i will be able to find this link again so if anyone can help could they please let me know via my email:
wentwhere AT hotmail.com

thanks heaps

try casiocom (google it ... don't have the link).

It works most of the time and is quite good.
But I think you might even be faster when writing on
your calc.
