i put in
solve((2x-7)^1/2>(x+2)^1/2,x)
the answer appears -(x+2)^1/2+(2x-7)^1/2>0
did i use the wrong command ? any 1 help me out plz

> simplify((36*x^4*z^4)^1/2);
18*x^4*z^4

Ich verstehe das nicht,
ich tippe: (36*x^4*z^4)^1/2
und als Ergebnis kommt: 18*x^4*z^4
das habe ich mit ClassPad ausgerechnet.
English:
I do not understand that,
I tap: (36*x^4*z^4)^1/2
and as result comes:18*x^4*z^4
I calculated that with ClassPad.

you can't simplify (x^4)^(0.5) in (x^2) :
i^4 = 1
(-i)^4 = 1
1^4 = 1
(-1)^4 = 1
and 1^0.5 = 1
but :
i^2 = -1
(-i)^2 = -1
1^2 = 1
(-1)^2 = 1

Change the ClassPad setting to Real.
Type: (36x^4z^4)^(1/2)
And the result: 6x^2z^2.

(m^0.5-1)/(m^0.5+1)
seems still to get the same thing i input

You could try (m^(1/2)-1)/(m^(1/2)+1)
maybe that is the problem, i got (m+1-2*sqrt(m))/(m-1) but i don't know if this is what you are trying to get
