well Whyp explains it in his great tutorial but it's written in French. To write file you have to create a ROM-DISK image anyway.

In fact I'm asking these questions, beacuse I want to make a program that
is able to send a Flash Drive directly from one calc to another.
I'm quite bad in French.

So I'll need to know the romdisk format and the Transfer protocol.

I tried reading the french G100+ programming tutorial by whyp and found out
that it is possible to directly write to / read from the Flash byte by byte.
Unfortunately I don't understand the details. If anyone out there
knows how to do that and is able to explain it to me in english or german
it'd be great!!

You should get the instruction manual of the g100's flash memory this is what Whyp used to make this part of the tutorial.

If you have some sentences to translate I can do it for you... or ask Killer83Z I remember he would translate the whole tutorial. ;-)

huhn_m, if you're planning to write in assembly, consider adding onto my Satelite program :). I was actually trying to add this same type of stuff (display block type, delete, send, receive) to satelite a while back, but I kinda gave up on it. This wouldn't be compatable with the casio link mode receive command though... you must have satelite at both ends, but you get 115200 bps speed.

Otherwise, it gives assembly examples of how to map segments and read/write flash, and you can include chunks of assembly into C programs. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help.

@BradN
If you could send me these examples of how to map / read / write
flash by e-mail it would be great but they have to be documented/explained in
english (and not in french) or I'll don't get how it works!

Thanx Huhn
