Test an RXE conversion...

I have put the first real attempt at an RXE conversion using dRXE, and have put it up here. I have included a readme which highlights some important things to consider when testing the file. I have not yet, and am not able to test it myself, so I dont know if it will work. I actually think it may not work, only because I ran it in DOS (emulated) and the CPU errored, RXE's are supposed to just exit the main loading sequence. We'll see how it goes, Im probably just misaligned a byte or two if it indeed does not work
In that case we can try again... Let me know how it goes.

My graph100 (rom 1.02) doesn't work ! I must shutdown it and acces to 'test mode' with F6+Fa+b/c+ON.

maybe you use a buggy launcher or so.
I use my Linl and hadn't any problems with it.

Where can I get the version 1.03 of your linl??
I see it on your site but I can't download and the others only
have V. 1.01!
I read somewhere that the newer version can handle the hidden Files
on drive A: (they are only visible immediately after a reboot. Then they
don't appear again)

we'll like to launch RXE files with our explorer but with the Dos functions, to launch of tutor for example is catatrophic when we want to do something
is it possible to do a new algorithm to launch rxe exes or normal exes in C or asm ?

Wow! Nice rumors:I read somewhere that the newer version can handle the hidden Files
on drive A: (they are only visible immediately after a reboot. Then they
don't appear again)
1. There are no hidden files on drive A - you can see them all by inspecting the ROM dump.
2. Linl ver. 1.10.2 have no changes in major algorithms comparing to ver. 1.10.1
I have fixed some things on my (unofficial) page so it will be downloadable now.
now about RXE: RXE format is just an EXE with relocated constant and dynamic parts of program and it should be runnable on the cals in the same manner as normal EXE. Tutor.EXE is an RXE file made by Datalight and I can launch it from Linl without any problems.

http://www.casiodev.republika.pl/
But as he said it is not official.
If you want to download sth. you must right klick on the download
icon, select "copy link location" (for engl. Netscape)
and the go into the url and paste the link.
Otherwise the program is not found!

It will not be supporting RXE files when it is first released as I expect to release it as soon as possible, and the RXE conversion process is not mature enough to predict how the proper relocation information should be stored. When the RXE process is atleast 50% successful, Commander and Add-In Packager will be updated with full support and dRXE will be released.

history lesson: I started it a long time ago, back then the only program was Casio's Add-In Installer, so I rushed work to get Commander out. Then Flash Editor came out, so I did not stess the program as much since there was an option and decided to make Commander better. Then I went to my university and soon after my link cable broke, so I had little time and no way to test the program. Last year I decided to re-write parts of the code and redesign the GUI because I had though of better ways of doing things and Commander crashed alot and didnt do much if you didnt know how to use it. But the last year has been very productive, I have handed out beta copies to just about everyone who asked... I should have released Commander last november or september but I wanted to fix a Satelite recieving bug (which hasnt been fixed yet either) but it takes me time to fix Satelite issues because my cable is broken. But now Im ready to release it, so after it gets cleaned up (removing debug output, etc) and documented its all yours!
I tried to keep a detailed revision log, so you can track everything that was done the past year, hehe

Of course you can launch it but you cannot USE it, if you try the calc just crash...Tutor.EXE is an RXE file made by Datalight and I can launch it from Linl without any problems.

The only way to get it working correctly is to link it on the main menu of the AFX or run it using enter.com and command.com but using this way, some key are unusable...
