I have an old CFX-9850G with a broken display next to me. Now I want to make some hardwarechanges/tests with this calculator. but to test what the result of my work is, I need the display.
Then a brainstorm came to:
Is it possible to take the signals from the LCD-Controller to the LCD away, put them into the calculator and then I could see what should displayed on the LCD?
Does somebody know such a program?
I could write such aprogram on my own but for that I need informations. Does somebody has some informations about the controlling of the LCD or about the LCD-controller? I need informations, like type and manufacturer of the display.
I hope somebody could help me.
Thanks a lot!
edit: It seems that the LCD-controllerchip is the SANYO LC3564 SM-85. I asked SANYO for the datasheet of this chip, they would fax this datasheet to me, but I don't have a faxnumber in USA. does somebody has a fax in USA or a faxnumber where I could fax it to and then he would send it to me via mail or post?

I've found a datasheet of the LC3564 SM-85. Now I'm confused - Why does the CFX-9850G have 2 RAM-Chips?

please post the datasheet somewhere public or provide a link to it. Im sure Martin, BradN, and myself would be interested to take a look.
I dont remember the 9850 layout any more, but i do remember from somewhere that a couple models had 2 chips just because they didnt make use of a single larger one. also, dont confuse the ram chips with the rom

32KB main RAM at segment 40h
