Hi yall, i'm new here and need some help so don't get mad if i ask silly questions :)

my question is:
i saw that there are standard programs you can load in the program menu like:
Australia --> Binprob
--> D.E.Plot
etc etc
i was wondering if you have a PC-link cabel is it posible to edit those sources even though you reset it it will still remain there?
or is this not possible??

thanks in advance

Its not posible to keep a BASIC program after the memory has been reset.

Flash programs will stay after resets of the main memory, but not flash memory.

Has someone already tryed to add a flash memory to the cfx?

(ok, that would require an expert...but has someone?...and probably it would be necessary to make "the Martin move")

I don't know anything about such a project. Because you need to rebuild the hardware of the CFX for the flash memory.

martin himself only does softwarehacking/softwaremodifications. a friend of him did hardwarehacking but he stopped. if somebody needs hsi mailadress: PM!

You can't say that with 100% sure. Now, the software would need to be written from scratch.

Another question: does anyone know how to "enlarge" the CFX9850 RAM? (i mean 32 Kb is very very litle memory, is there a way of making it get 64 or 128 kb?)
"Buy a cfx9950" is not an answer!!!!(i had one but it was stollen, and the 9950 is no longer selled n Portugal...And i have an AFX2.0+ and a Flash-needing replace AFX2.0 (yet))
Is it possible that there is some kind of software blocking the access to 32 kb RAM? (well, in FX1.0 there where 3 unlinked menus...)
...I mean, are 9950 and 9850 exactly the same, but with some kind of software block?
(It would really be stupid but there are even more stupid guys...and some of them work in CASIO)

You need some datalines to control the Flash-ROM. A Flash-ROM has to be controlled in an other way than a RAM.

Yes. Here, but only in German. On my new Webpage there will be a How2 in English.

No. 9950 and 9850 are nearly the same. The 9950 has a 64kb RAM and the 9850 has a 32kb RAM. There's no software block. It could be possible that the 9850G has some hidden software i.e. the one from the 9850GB+, but I don't think because Martin would had said something about it.

I also dont think so. The 9850GB+ is an upgrade (that's why it is slower :rolleyes: )

For testing around with CFX9850GB+ and CFX9850G, i need an EEPROM-Rader and/or EEPROM-Writer... If I would had one I would have a lokk at the ROM.
