It is actually unimportant for you what ROM version you have.

Most modern ASM/C programs detect your rom version and use the appropriate code.

Version 1.05 is the newest (known) version. There are also 1.01, 1.02 and 1.03

To find out your version do:

turn off the calculator
Press [Ab/c] and hold it
also press <span class=F6' /> and hold it too
now do additionally press [AC/on]

Now you should be in the test mode.
Press the key for ROM (<span class=6' />).
This will show you the version and verify if your rom is correct.
Once this is done press <span class=ESC' /> to return to the main menu,
and [0] to exit it. Then choose No (<span class=F6' />) if you don't want to delete your data.

Don't choose random items from the test menu since some will reset your calculator (some also flash AND ram).

well, If you can tell us how to do it ... ;)

The chracteristics of ROM is that it is a read ONLY memory.

So, if you have a ROM burner and the soldering skills .... goot luck :D

yes and no...

there are ROM recorders, but you need to remove (unsolder) the ROM from the board of the calculator, record it using such a (very expensive) recorder, and then solder it again.

And btw. what do you think is the benefit of doing so?

but if you do NOT experience ANY bugs than I would clearly NOT recommend to change the rom.

First it is difficult and second it is risky. You do also void your warranty.

And last but not least, the old guideline "Don't fix it if it ain't broke" should be applied!

"Don't fix it if it ain't broke",i agree too,but if you can upgrade the rom (if it is written in a flash chip) you can get new features bug fixes and brand new bugs :)
