    CASIO FX-83ES

Hi, I have received a CASIO fx-83ES scientific calculator, and I can't multiply decimals. I do a simple decimal sum of 0.3 * 75 and it comes up with 45 over 2, then I checked my PC calculator and it's 22.5.

What is wrong with my calculator? Do I need to do something to it?

Thanks

Use <span class=Shift' /> [=]

0.3 [*] 75 <span class=Shift' /> [=]

or

Press [S<=>D]

0.3 [*] 75 [=] [S<=>D]

or

use "LineIO" mode

<span class=Shift' /> [SETUP] <span class=2' /> (LineIO), then

0.3 [*] 75 [=]

Thank you, it works!
Also I have a different question, can I set the calculator so when I make a sum of 45+0 and I keep pressing = it shows the multiples of 45, how do I get that to work?

Type 45, EXE, +45, EXE, EXE, EXE .. that should do it.

Does anyone know of a way to make decimals show up by default instead of fractions? It's really annoying having to press the convert button every time. :banghead:

If you use the divide key instead of the fraction key, it should automatically come up as a decimal.
