fx-9750G PLUS and USB conecting cable FA-123USB

Hello,
I'm just wondering if anyone else has had problems when installing the software that comes with the FA-123USB connection cable. When trying to install it it comes up with a nice message saying:

16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:\Windows\System32\config.nt. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
[Close] [Ignore]

Nothing happens when i press either Close or Ignore (apart from the lovely message disapearing!

I have tryed the alternative installation method mentioned in the manual (copying the files over manually and renameing them) which also comes up with the same message when running the software.

The computer is brand new (just installing the computer and calculator software for my mother (a maths teachure) and is an AMD Athlon 64 based system running an Asus Motherboard (Nvidia chipset) - could this be causeing the problems?? can the software not cope with the 64bit processor??

Any sugestions or things to try would be very welcomed!

Cheers,

Peter
